Long Time No Talk!

Wow, I didn't realize how much I have been sucking at updating recently.

Well, I have been trying to find a new OB since graduating from the Fertility Clinic. I can't believe I didn't start this so much earlier, I like to have things planned out, it's just unlike me to have something as massive as finding an OB left to the last minute. Silly me.

I scheduled at appointment with one doctor and saw him on Monday. I HATED him. I don't say that lightly. They place was more like a free clinic than an Obstetrician's office. It was dirty, they had me pee in a dixie cup. No lid, no place to set it once done, nothing. I had to walk through the office carrying my uncovered cup of pee so they could do a pregnancy test...um hello...I have my records and told you I'm at the very end of my first trimester with twins. Dumb. Asses. They also didn't take my blood or run any tests on me, the doctor just asked me questions about my family and the age old "Who has twins in your family???" even though we told him THREE TIMES that we did IVF.

He only had one room with an ultrasound machine that was probably as old as I am. And it was at least 4 feet away from me, so I couldn't see anything very clearly. They only reason I know the girls are still alive is because for the 15 seconds he did the ultrasound, I saw them both move. He didn't check their heartbeats or measure them. The one thing he did say was that "this one's more active." We didn't even get a picture printed out. OMG, I wanted to punch him. I was so hoping for a good experience, I just want a doctor already. Waaaaaaah!!!

So, obviously I won't be seeing him again. I have an appointment with another guy next week. He sounds pretty promising so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

On the other hand, we have already started in the nursery! We are cleaning it out and are going to replace the carpet with hardwood floors so that'll take a few weeks. We have 2 cribs! We bought one on Craigslist for $80 and got the other and a dresser free from a friend! Score. My hubby is busy painting them on the weekends and they should be ready in 2 weeks. Though I doubt the floors will ready in the room so I won't get to start decorating for another month probably.

Of course, anytime we go shopping I have to buy something for the babies. I got these seriously ADORABLE onesies at Target last weekend.

Come ON! Are these not the cutest things you've ever seen?? I die just thinking about seeing my girls in these!

I have had a few dreams about them recently. The first one was really bizarre and surreal, the second one was more realistic. I am growing more and more attached to them and I can't wait until I can feel them dancing around!

How far along? 12 weeks 4 days
Maternity clothes? Not totally.  I've bought a few shirts and a dress. Mostly I just wear stretch pants and a t-shirt since I am still working from home.
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: This changes a lot. Recently I've been sleeping pretty good, with the exception of having to get up to pee a minimum of 3 times a night. Since I've been working at home I can sleep until I'm fully rested, which is usually 9:30-10am. I'm spoiled, I know.
Best moment this week: See the girls on the ultrasound, as crappy as it was, I LOVE seeing them :D
Miss Anything? Doctor Kumar! haha. I really miss not being picky about food. It's getting really old by now!
Movement: Nothing yet, though sometimes I can trick myself into thinking I felt something.
Food cravings: Haha! I wish!!! I mean, I guess occasionally I will have a random craving. Dairy seems to make me feel the best in the morning. I hate meat. Loathe is probably a better word for it, but I think that's starting to wane now. Oh, and I love eating lemons!
Gender:  Baby girls x 2!!  Still a shocker to the both of us.  I can't wait for frills and bows!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Symptoms: Headaches, dizziness, and random bouts of nausea here and there.  Most of the time if I talk about food, I feel like I'm going to hurl. I've had cramping off and on the whole pregnancy, but particularly the last week. Which is partially why I'm dying to see this new doc! I want to make sure everything is looking okay! I get tired if I walk around a lot. I can go from happy to bitch in half a second with no warning.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: I'd say happy most of the time though my husband might disagree! I have been buying things everywhere we go. I'm so happy it's 2 girls, they're closets will be full before they even arrive!
Looking forward to: Decorating their room, buying clothes and fun things for them. And of course, I'm excited to meet them but I can wait until they're ready!
